I like many was naïve to the deceptive, irresponsible and untrustworthy practices of the grocery stores and other retailers of beef in America.  Did you know that 80% of beef is packaged by only 4 companies and worse, these companies maintain 80% of the profits in the supply chain.  This leaves family farmers broke and forced into bankruptcy.  Compounding the issue, beef is imported from foreign countries including Brazil, Australia and Namibia in Africa and shockingly, under current law, all imported beef can be labeled as AMERICAN because its PACKAGED here!

I was also naive to all the conflicting health information we are bombarded with daily.  I struggled to cut fact from fad, and science from hearsay.  But my family deserved better.  That is when I engaged with local nuturional experts, leveraged the power of AI, and reviewed the relevant science directly, and developed a science backed, evidenced based protocol to improve your daily function.  Thrive Daily will help you not only achieve your goals but will provide you the science behind what you are doing so you can build habits you can feel proud of.

About Me - My Why

As a native North Carolinian, proud father of two young girls, CPA, and independent farm owner, I became frustrated with how difficult it was to purchase or sell good quality local beef and how difficult it was to get reliable health information.  As for independent farmers, farmers each have their own rules and processes, each has different requirements and cut-sheets and terms we don’t all use or understand.  And each farmer is left to market their own farms and honestly, it’s a time-consuming process in order to build trust by either the customer or the farmer.  

On the health front, it's the same story, different information, different terms and processes and hard to build trust.  

Based on this, I knew there had to be a better way.  That is why I founded Tar Heel Beef Company.
